Digital Data Communications (DDC)
The "DDC (Digital Data Communications)" working group is charged with the setup and management of the associations active and passive Networks. The networks include local networks (wired and wireless) as well as the regional and national interconnection of networks. Essential areas of activity of the working groups are HamNet, AMPR and 44net.
Digital Voice Communications (DVC)
The working group "DVC" is charged with digital voice transmissions.
In the area of ultra-short wave, Luxembourg’s digital ham radio network will be extended by relay stations and data nodes. Cause of the fact, that the relay stations only form a network with those nodes, the DVC is supported by the DDC group. New relay stations will be connected to DDC’s data network as soon as possible, in order to communicate with other relay stations.
In addition to the projects on ultra-short wave, DVC has another part in its field of activities: digital voice on shortwave. Digital short wave modes will be tested and checked for their application in daily use.
Education (EDU)
The Working Group "Education" will organize training courses focused on the priorities of LARU. The LARU will offer further activities related to education and science.
Emergency Communications (EMC)
The EMC's (EMergency Communications) objective is to determine the needs of communication of the Luxembourg rescue services and to complement with the means of amateur-radio communications in the case of an emergency. In addition, we can provide quick and simple communication options in the greater region and on international level for voice communication and / or data exchange. We will create a concept in order to respond to these needs and we will organize regular exercises in emergency communication. The concept also includes the planning and the failure safety of the infrastructure. The necessary infrastructure will be set up and tested together with the other working groups.
The EMC group is also responsible for the contact with other international emergency communication groups. Accordingly, the coordination of national and international regulatory affairs falls within the field of duties of the EMC.
